ABOUT ECHOPARK SPEEDWAY

EchoPark Speedway–formerly known as Atlanta International Raceway–is a well-established motorsport venue situated in Hampton, Georgia, south of downtown Atlanta. Since opening its gates in 1960, the circuit has played an important role in American motorsport, becoming a regular and highly regarded stop on the NASCAR calendar.

The speedway features a 1.54-mile quad-oval layout, famous for its extremely high speeds and aggressive 28-degree banking through the corners. A major redevelopment in 1997 reshaped the track into its current form, while a further overhaul in 2021 saw the surface repaved and the profile adjusted to encourage closer, faster racing. These changes have helped cement its reputation as one of NASCAR’s quickest venues.

Beyond the main oval, the facility covers roughly 850 acres and offers several additional layouts, including a quarter-mile oval, a road course, and expansive infield areas used for events and fan activities. The track regularly hosts two premier NASCAR Cup Series races each year, including headline events, while also serving as a venue for track days, testing, and driving experiences.

Combining decades of history with a modern, high-speed layout and strong fan focus, EchoPark Speedway continues to be one of the most distinctive and important tracks in American stock car racing.
