Getting to EchoPark Speedway without a car can be difficult. The track is located in Hampton, Georgia, around 25 miles south of downtown Atlanta, and public transport links to the venue are very limited. That said, there are a few alternative options that may work depending on your plans.
There is no direct MARTA train or city bus service to the Speedway. Some visitors attempt to combine a MARTA rail trip to the airport with an Xpress bus to Henry County. However, these services mainly operate on weekdays and are not designed to handle race-day traffic or large crowds. As a result, public transport is generally unreliable during NASCAR weekends.
Rideshare services (such as Uber and Lyft) can be a reasonable option for getting to the track. The main challenge comes after the race, when demand increases sharply. Limited driver availability and heavy traffic around the venue often lead to higher fares and long wait times. Walking a short distance away from the speedway can improve your chances of finding a quicker pickup.
If possible, renting a car or sharing a ride with friends is usually the most convenient solution. Parking is typically available for those who arrive early, and having your own vehicle gives you much more flexibility before and after the event.
Public transport is not ideal for reaching the speedway. If you’re not driving yourself, the best alternatives are arranging a shuttle service in advance or using a rideshare to get to the venue and planning a different pickup location for your return journey.
